GSA Policies

Class Size

The minimum class size is three, and the maximum is six. However, in special circumstances and depending on the needs of the course, GSA reserves the right to reorganize the size of the class.

We encourage students to register early to better accommodate you at the time and day that best fits your schedule.

Teachers and Class Groups

Teachers are thoroughly assigned to fit better each class needs; students cannot choose the teacher for their course. GSA reserves the right to reassign teachers after a course has started.

Course Materials

Our Spanish courses require a textbook, the price of which is not included in the course fee. For further information about the books used in each course, please contact the GSA.

Attendance

It is recommended that the student contact his/her teacher for homework in the case of an absence. Attendance is the student’s responsibility; hence, non-attended classes won’t be refunded.

Homework & Expectations

-Teachers will assign homework that reinforces classroom learning and supports the course objectives. Both homework and assessments, including quizzes and exams, will reflect the material covered in class to ensure a meaningful and fair learning experience.

-Students are expected to arrive on time and dedicate regular time to completing their homework each week. They should also be prepared for assessments by reviewing class material and asking questions when they need support. Consistent effort helps build understanding and academic confidence.

-We encourage parents and caregivers to support their child’s learning by creating a positive homework routine at home and maintaining open communication with teachers. Together, we can help students develop responsibility, resilience, and a love for learning.

Make Up Classes & Transfers

It is possible to make up one missed class per term by attending a class on another course of the same or similar level, subject to availability. This will have to be arranged through the GSA.

Payment

Full season payment must be received typically between the 1st and 5th day of the starting month.

After the 5th of the starting month, a penalty of 5% will be applied. GSA’s preferred method of payment is Zelle.

Refunds

To request a refund, please send a written request via email before the first day of class. Cancellations by telephone or regular mail are not accepted. A refund will then be issued less a $75 administration fee. Refunds are not offered for private lessons and books.

Cancellations

GSA reserves the right to cancel classes, adjust curricula, and change teachers during sessions, if necessary, without advanced notice. Courses are sometimes cancelled due to insufficient enrollment (fewer than three students). If your course is cancelled, you will be notified by telephone or email and given the option to transfer to another class or to receive a full refund.
